Chorister Memento

Chantry Sound will record your chorister son or daughter and capture that voice for posterity! It is also possible digitally to regenerate previous amateur analogue recordings and add these to the CD.

We produce a CD master of the recording for £250 and this price normally includes travel costs to and from the venue. The case booklet and tray card are left for you to provide, though we can recommend an excellent company who will design these for you, including high quality artwork, at a reasonable cost.

If you are within convenient travelling distance of Cambridge, we can offer the use of a new Yamaha C5 grand at the Chantry House for your recording. Paul Bryan will hope to be available for accompaniment, if required.

Please contact us if you require further information.

Pre-Session

  • Date, time and place of the recording agreed. Evening sessions may be possible
  • Programme agreed and accompanist booked
  • Copies of all music to Chantry Sound

The Session

  • A thirty minute CD should take two to three hours to record
  • The performer will be guided through the session, doing re-takes as necessary, often out of tracking order. The process will take careful account of what can be achieved during the post-session editing

Post-Session

  • We will edit and mix the recording, welcoming your comments on the first and final edits via a listening CD or the internet and we will agree the tracking order
  • After your written approval of the final edit, the Master CD will be delivered to you
  • You duplicate CDs and add your booklet and tray card
