Product Options
The guideline information below assumes the production of a quantity of full length CDs with shrink-wrapped four page booklet (colour front) and tray card.
However, we will happily accommodate a smaller project such as a demo CD or a Chorister Memento when we will hope to make Chantry House available for the recording. We are also available to record "live" concerts. Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.
We offer a range of post-recording options, from CD Master of the recording only, to full commercial presentation. Please see pricing for details.
Pre-Session
- Date and times of recording and CD product options agreed
(late night sessions for organists are possible) - Venue agreed and booked
- Musical programme and length of CD agreed
- Copies of all music to Chantry Sound
- Preliminary discussions on booklet and tray card artwork and text
The Session
- If the venue is available, we prefer to spread the recording over two days, allowing the performer/s to relax between the sessions. We can, however, achieve an equally effective result in one full day's recording.
- We will give guidance throughout the session, doing re-takes as necessary, often out of final tracking order. The process will take careful account of what can be achieved during post-session editing
Post-Session
- We will edit and mix the recording, welcoming your comments on the first and final edits via a listening CD or the internet
- The tracking order will be agreed and an MCPS licence obtained for you
- The CD booklet and tray card will be duplicated after your written approval of the artwork and text. The procedure will allow consultation between you and the designer
- After your written approval of the final edit, the red book standard Master CD will be duplicated with black on silver on-body text
- Your shrink-wrapped CDs will be delivered
